CHEF JOHN’S FAMOUS WORDS “Keeping Food Simple but Elegant” John Beals was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He pursued his vision in Culinary Arts at Forest Park Community College. After two years earning an Associate degree in Culinary Arts, he accepted an apprenticeship at Westwood Country Club gaining four years of experience in the art of fine dining and elegant events. In the 1990’s, Chef John moved to Atlanta to work for Villa Christina, one of the finest and most sophisticated Italian restaurants in the city.
John’s culinary palette combines regional, international and contemporary flavors utilizing local and organic ingredients (This insures quality first). Chef John’s skills lie in combining fine dining restaurant experience and high volume catering with his remarkable talent with food preparation, presentation and management skills you discover his strengths. This explains John’s success in fast paced, high volume environments while maintaining the utmost quality and attention to detail. A consummate professional, with the ability to manage and juggle the all- consuming logistics of the event/catering. Chef John has served as a liaison between VIP’s, volunteers, officials, dignitaries and more.
Vincent Jones is an Atlanta native with an extensive background and success in design, development and implementation in the hospitality industry. He learned as a child from his Mother (a political scientist and civic leader) the need to determine the goals, assess the talent available and set a plans.
Vincent has a natural love of people. He has an innate ability to meet people where they are, listen to their wishes, comprehend what they say, developing a comfort level (alleviating any anxieties) to insure that the people, places and various entities coalesce to achieve ultimate success. To sharpen those skills he’s a 1998 Inaugural Class graduate of University of Georgia J.W. Fanning Institute of Leadership and Development.
He directs Chef John and Food Lovers Catering and Events’ total commitment to contribute time and money to improving our community i.e. the Salvation Army/Boys and Girls Club of America-Bellwood Unit, Atlanta Harm Reduction and The Young Adult Guidance Center. Vincent is the inaugural recipient of the Historic Westside Cultural Arts Council’s Kathryn Johnston Light Award and in December 2013 received the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of America “Making a Difference” Award for Excellence in Volunteerism.
